Karhu Mascot
Who doesn't like comics and sneakers?
Now you can get both of them for the same price
because Karhu has released a very cool line of
comic-inspired sneakers.
-
As of this spring, Karhu has turned his attention
to his own brand's mascot. No one can be more appropriate
for this purpose than the bear living in the Finnish
forests, who serves as both a mascot for Karhu's
brand and a source of inspiration for this sneaker pack.
-
Since the early 1800s, people have considered mascots
as objects of happiness. Mascots were first popularized
by sports organizations, which used live animals to
entertain spectators and intimidate rivals. Mascots
evolved from simple figures into increasingly complex
caricatures designed to catch the attention of fans
and motivate athletes.
-
A variety of materials from Karhu's archives were used
to develop sneakers and stories. In the 1960s, they
released a sneaker called Trampa. In the 1980s, they
published various comics featuring a bear named Kris
as the main inspiration for their mascot and logo.
-
Perhaps one day, your favorite sneaker guru Ballzy will
also create their own comic!
Take a look at the brand-new Karhu sneakers while you wait,
because these sneakers will be sure to turn heads when they
hit the streets!
