HAPPY AIR MAX DAY to all sneakerheads and fans!
Today is Air Max Day, so different sneakers with
air bubbles can be seen all over the place.

As it is an iconic day in the history of both Nike
and the sneaker culture, it is no surprise that
some Adidas fans are wearing Air Maxes today as well.

In honor of the anniversary, Ballzy recently interviewed
a serious air cushioning enthusiast who is also a member
of our own Ballzy crew.
Meet Martin Jaago, Ballzy's store manager! Martin surprises
us from time to time with his Air Max sneakers, and today
we'll hear what a real air bubble gourmet has to say about them!

1. Describe yourself in a few words? Who are you?
I'm a sneakerhead. I've been interested in sneakers for
the last ten years and have been working in the sneakers
industry for the last five years - today I work as a
retail manager at Ballzy.

2. What does „Air Max“ mean to you?
Whenever I hear the term "Air Max", a powerful image comes
to my mind. 'Air' entered the shoe for the first time 44 years
ago. Today's models use full-length airbags. It's no
secret that the Air Max series is one of the most
iconic and innovative sneaker
series.

3. What is your all-time favorite Air Max model and colorway?

The Air Max 90 "Cork" and the Air Max 1 Ultra Moire series were
the first to catch my eye. One of my favorite pairs is the Air
Max 1 x Atmos "Elephant".

4. Let's talk a little bit about numbers - how many Air Max pairs
are currently sitting in your home?
I try to keep my collection relatively modest, so this number changes
frequently. My collection is constantly updated with new and
intriguing pairs. The current number is 11 and the last member
is the Nike Air Max 1 x Patta "Noise Aqua"

5. Are there any Air Max models or colors that have haunted
you because you haven't caught them?
It is encouraging to see the Air Max 1 making a strong comeback
in recent months. It is exciting to see so many creative collaborations.
Skepta 97 (2017), Parra 1 (F&F 2018), and Atmos 1
(not just Elephant color scheme) are still on my mind!
